Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
These terms govern your use of Alara's products and services.
Accounts
You must give accurate information, keep your login secure, and be a licensed insurance professional (or acting for one) to purchase consumer data.
Billing
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. There is no setup fee and no minimum term.
- You can cancel at any time; service continues to the end of the paid period.
- Data and lead purchases are prepaid. Nothing is delivered before payment is confirmed, and we do not extend credit.
- Prices shown on the site are the prices you pay. We will give notice before changing them.
Data and lead purchases
Records sold through the Alara Exchange are verified against the checks described on the Data Exchange page before sale. We replace or refund records that are disconnected, that are wrong numbers, or that do not match the filters you selected, up to 20% of an order, claimed within 72 hours of delivery.
Verification by Alara does not discharge your own legal obligations. You remain responsible for your own do-not-call subscription and scrubbing, your own internal do-not-call list, honouring opt-outs, and compliance with federal and state telemarketing law. You must not resell records purchased from us.
Acceptable use
- Do not use our services to contact anyone who has opted out
- Do not use our services for any product or purpose you are not licensed to sell
- Do not attempt to circumvent suppression lists, rate limits or access controls
- Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute data purchased through the Exchange
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why.
Service levels
Websites are built and live within seven days of receiving your content. Support requests are answered within one business day. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
